Ubuntu 22.04 with Nvidia: linux-image-5.15.0-72-generic: [drm:nv_drm_load [nvidia_drm]] *ERROR* [nvidia-drm] [GPU ID 0x00000900] Failed to allocate NvKmsKapiDevice

After updating from linux-image-5.15.0-71-generic, my machine failed to load the module properly and was only running minimal resolution in the desktop environment.

The issue does not occur when booting the older still installed kernel (by selecting it in grub loader).

I had nvidia-driver-525-open installed, but the issue also occurs with nvidia-driver-530-open. nvidia-driver-530 (without -open) does not have the problem.

I was also able to use -open again by creating a file with content "options nvidia NVreg_OpenRmEnableUnsupportedGpus=1" in /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia-open-unsupported-gpus.conf.
