Bug Description
Binary package hint: avahi-autoipd
I disabled the avahi-daemon using /etc/default. I still get an avahi-autoipd, and it still created unwanted, insecure, extra interfaces against my wireless card.
I don't see any obvious way to turn this thing off. There should be one.
Gutsy Gibbon, up to date as of submission.

The source of this is the configuration files in the dhcp client space. These do not check /etc/default/ avahi-daemon -- or anything else!
