Being able to upload covers is great! It also would be great to have a way to identify and track covers uploaded - for what bib records, by what person, when, etc.

I personally would like to know if missing cover images is related to bib record quality or age, or non-ISBN/UPC having works, and to evaluate the comprehensiveness (or lack thereof) of services used to provide covers.

Apparently as it stands currently, it is just an upload to a directory, with title ID and date stamp, only accessible directly from the server.

I think this is a great idea. While I save the images I upload using the tcn as the name, others upload images.

I also would like to occasionally check to see if the image I uploaded was replaced by a subsequent update from the vendor, in case the wrong image was uploaded.

I do love the uploader, especially since our vendor had become glacial in their response to corrections. And their solution is for us to find an image, upload it to their website, and they will evaluate it and decide whether to use it or not. Now I just upload incorrect images as they are reported.

I agree, it would be great to have an interface under Server Administration with columns that have the the info stated by Elaine and Lindsay, but also the file name of the image uploaded, and the ability to edit them so we can ensure OPAC accessibility, as well as the capability to add alt text.
