Bug Description

This has happened to me twice in the last 24h.

I was dragging a link from firefox to another application. The crash occurs before I release the mouse button to drop the link in the second application. In both cases the drag was across two displays. The first time, the intended target was wezterm (deb). The second time, the intended target was chromium (snap).

Is it a good idea to try the fix from gnome-shell/lunar-proposed?

Yes, if you know how to safely. That will also fix bug 2019225 that is in your log.
