Bug Description

[Impact]

The Telegraf charm[0] has support only for Ubuntu LTS releases, not having non-LTS releases puts a challenge on the OpenStack testing which releases packages (and charms) that support them, they are an important part of our CI/CD pipelines.

Can we have telegram to support Kinetic and Lunar, and in general non-LTS?

I just wanted to expand some more on the importance of supporting non-LTS releases. Ceph is packaged in Ubuntu for LTS and interim releases. In order to test ceph on each release and to allow for Ubuntu SRU testing, the Ceph charms support LTS and interim releases. The ceph-dashboard charm uses telegraf, and since this is a subordinate charm it depends on non-LTS support for Telegraf.

Therefore, the priority of this feature would be very low and probably won't implement.
