Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

In my session list I have Valknut and aMule to start automatically. Some times the icons that should appear into Notification Area (valknut and amule) appear in the left-up side of desktop just under Main Menubar.

there has been no other complain about that for example update-notifier, reassigning to amule

It cannot be reassigned to amule because the same trouble is happening with valknut. Those little icons that appears in the left-up side of desktop just under main menubar are full operational like those that appears into notification area (no duplicates but wrong place).
This is happening frequently at start of a new session.
I use auto login into gdm too.

Please take a look at this partial screenshot attached.
In the first one the valknut icon appear over the amule icon.
After closing valknut, in the second part on image, there is only amule's icon.
I hope this is helpfully.
(for this screenshot I only rebooted)

Ook... This bug I think can be assigned to gnome-panel because:
- if gnome-panel is lazy at start of session (the applets and icons appears later) the result is that I mentioned;
- if there is no problem with icons at start of session, but I terminate gnome-panel process, the result is dropping icons from notification area to desktop (similar with my problem).

Take a look at screenshot...

This problem still exists in 9.10
For example if I run amule from ~/.bashrc then amule icon is under main menubar and not in notification area.
