Bug Description

I performed an full system upgrade in Hardy, now being fully up-to-date (including the fix to the broken libc6 in 2.7-9ubuntu2). A reboot was required, and after logging in again, firefox 3.0~b3+nobinonly-0ubuntu4 would not start. On the CLI, I get the message from the subject.

This false bug is because xulrunner and firefox has not the same version on your upgrade time. So you upgrade when on repos was only xulruner present. After firefox come in repos too - after upgrade all works again.

Solution1 : wait for new firefox on repos.
Solution2 : search for firefox 3 beta 4 on they site - download - extract it on a folder under your home dir. For example on ~/firefox, then make a link from firefox file inside the folder to Desktop.

This will not break, any previous Firefox instalation. Ucan keep this solution until new Firefox === with Xullruner version will touch the repos. Then you delete ~/firefox OR U can keep it for other problems like that.

The big solution - to avoid unnecessary reports - will be to put those packages on repos when they are ready - not one now and other after 5 hours, OR to hide xulrunner until firefox is ready too.
