Bug Description

If I sleep/wake my computer, the 3.5 mm headphone jack no-longer detects when its gets plugged in.

Using Ubuntu 23.04 and pipewire:

$ pipewire --version
pipewire
Compiled with libpipewire 0.3.65
Linked with libpipewire 0.3.65

I can work around this problem by one of two ways:
1. After restart, my headphone jack works as expected.
2. Restarting pipewire, then sleeping/waking my computer again. I've been running the following (not sure if I need both):
```
systemctl --user restart pipewire
systemctl --user restart pipewire-pulse.service
```

Please let me know of any other information I should provide, and/or where I should actually post this bug.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Libera.chat.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2018122/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

According to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage#Suspend_and_Hibernate bug reports relating to suspend should be filed against the Linux kernel if you are unsure which package is at fault.

If this issue has resolved itself with an update please let us know otherwise please provide any further information that is asked of you.

Ubuntu Kernel Bot (ubuntu-kernel-bot) wrote : Missing required logs.

This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem. While running an Ubuntu kernel (not a mainline or third-party kernel) please enter the following command in a terminal window:

apport-collect 2018122

and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

If, due to the nature of the issue you have encountered, you are unable to run this command, please add a comment stating that fact and change the bug status to 'Confirmed'.

This change has been made by an automated script, maintained by the Ubuntu Kernel Team.

Bug seemed to be triggered by putting laptop to sleep with headphones plugged in, then disconnecting while asleep. After wake/resume headphones where no longer detected.

I can no longer recreate this bug.

Thank you for providing additional information and for telling us that you can no longer reproduce this issue. I see that you have also updated the link at Ask Ubuntu. Should this issue reapper please change the bug status to 'Confirmed'

I''m closing this as 'Invalid' in order to reduce the number of open bugs although it would have course expired after 60 days anyway. The Ask Ubuntu link will still point anyone affected by this issue here although they should open their own bug report so that their specific hardware / software details are captured by the bug reporting process.
