free: called with unallocated block argument
Aborting...complete: usage: complete [-abcdefgjksuv] [-pr] [-o option] [-A action] ...

malloc: ../bash/subst.c:3472: asertion botched
free: called with unallocated block argument
Aborting...
malloc: ../bash/subst.c:3472: asertion botched
free: called with unallocated block argument
Aborting...init: tty6 main process ended, respawning

after some time the boot continues, goes to graphic mode and the screen is blank and starts to enlighten (from top of screen from green to whole screen changing to white)

When i try to startup in recovery mode this lines is shown me and then nothing:

I had something similar due to the glibc update yesterday that was broken.

Boot into your Ubuntu LiveCD.
Mount the partition. (you can do this from console, or by GNOME in "Places" -> Computer -> Filesystem.

Type:
cp --parents `dpkg -L libc6-i686 | xargs` /path/to/mounted/disk/
cp --parents `dpkg -L libc6 | xargs` /path/to/mounted/disk/

thanks Fred, that solution worked for me with an Edgy Live CD

I strongly recommend not using an Edgy live CD for this purpose; other programs almost certainly require features of the newer C library in Hardy and will fail to work correctly or at all. If you do this and manage to get the system to boot afterwards, you should upgrade to libc6 2.7-5ubuntu2 or 2.7-9ubuntu2 (NOT 2.7-9ubuntu1) from Hardy as soon as possible.
