openjdk 19.0.2 2023-01-17
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 19.0.2+7-Ubuntu-0ubuntu322.04)

The default Java version in Ubuntu 22.04 is Java 11 which is compatible whith Jameica. Consider using new Ubuntu or Debian version if you want to have a new Java as they contain a fixed Jamaica as well.

Closing as invalid.

I don't know the rules for when a bug is marked as invalid, but I actually expect some bug robustness from packages shipped for an LTS.

Switching to another Ubuntu version is not so easy if there is no new LTS.

robustness in the sense that all packages within the LTS work together. We can't support software outside of Ubuntu, as in a new JDK version.

Just saw that openjdk-19 is part of Ubuntu 22.04, still it is not the default-jre: https://packages.ubuntu.com/jammy/default-jre.
Why not just switch back to JDK-11?

I need the JDK 19 for some developer purposes, so it's a bit annoying to switch between versions.

You could install jameica from a newer Ubuntu or Debian version.
