I had to use a old kernel (5.15.0-53-generic) to get the GUI and send this bug report.

I attach the screenshot of what I get (and I am freeze onto) after the Kubuntu splash screen, and a screenshot of the kernels available.

Note: This is not a big issue for me because I will reformat this hard disk (to sell the PC).

Seems the kernel driver failed to build/install.

Please run:

sudo apt install --reinstall nvidia-driver-515 nvidia-dkms-515

and then reboot.

affects: xorg (Ubuntu) → nvidia-graphics-drivers-515 (Ubuntu)

I booted with kernel 5.15.0-53-generic:

sudo apt install --reinstall nvidia-driver-515 nvidia-dkms-515

You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
linux-headers-5.4.0-146-generic : Depends: linux-headers-5.4.0-146 but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
