Bug Description

The sound and video on my laptop seems to "skip" for unknown reasons in Hardy (**this only started to occur after I upgraded to hardy**). This occurs regardless of load on the cpu (ie. If I turn off everything else and just play music (tried in both rythmbox and movie player), it will skip just the same).

The only weird thing I can note is that the following is spamed to dmesg over and over:

[ 874.348939] APIC error on CPU0: 40(40)
[ 874.851105] APIC error on CPU0: 40(40)

Is this symptom reproducible in 8.10 [or 9.04 with linux-image-2.6.28-1-ub-generic]?
