Bug Description
After attempting to update the spotify snap to version 1.2.8.923.g4f94bf0d the update failed with the following error:
- Setup snap "spotify" (63) security profiles (cannot update mount namespace of snap "spotify": cannot update preserved namespace of snap "spotify": cannot update snap namespace: remove /usr/bin/gjs: read-only file system)
After the update failed, the spotify snap remained on the version that was installed before the attempted update, but the connection to the content interface (and perhaps other interfaces) was lost during the upgrade process and wasn’t restored when the refresh failed. The failed update left the snap in a broken state with the following error when trying to launch spotify:
ERROR: not connected to the gnome-3-28-1804 content interface.
A workaround is to remove the spotify snap and then do a fresh installation of the latest version, although any current spotify settings are lost during this process.
