Bug Description

A week ago i installed eeexubuntu 7.10 on my brand new "asus eeepc 701" in a kingston 4g mmc-sd card. The next day i installed compiz fussion and a few utilities i cant remember. As it was natural the system hanged so i turned off desktop effects. when i rebooted i could not login and after two reboots there was noting in the card to boot. Then i booted in Xandros (the default eeepc os) and i tried to manualy mount the card but nothing was in there... I tried an fsck but the fs was broken...
I don't know much about programming nor about unix/linux. But is this normal in a stable operating system? Hope 8.04 fixes things...

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs.
