Hardy Heron latest test version

Have been downloading updates on a daily basis. After one of these downloads my sound disappeared.

Currently receive the message: "No volume control GStream plugins and/or devices found".

I have the same issue since the latest kernel upgrade yesterday/day before on an IBM T30. Intel sound.
