Bug Description

apt install maas-region-controller results in a conflict on Jammy machines

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

seems to go away if systemd-timesyncd is installed from jammy-updates

@marian: can you confirm what version of systemd-timesyncd is installed and available from the archive at the point you try and install MAAS?

Correction - on one controller there is 3.6, I will check if upgrade helps

We had an issue with our MAAS nodes where the first one could not apt update. After I fixed it manually, issue from this bug report is gone.
