Do you have anything on ~/.xsession-errors after the rhythmbox stops responding? Can you attach the .xsession-errors file taken immediately after your program has stopped responding and you try to close it by pressing Ctrl-C?

Also, please specify the version of Ubuntu and version of the package you are reporting the bug for.

Did you try to get a backtrace as specified in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace ?

Thanks for the clarification, just asked because of a doubt as you called backtrace full after it said "Program terminated with signal SIGKILL, Killed. The program no longer exists." This might be a reason for you not to get a backtrace. Can you provide the xsession-errors at least?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
