The nvidia module is not loading after the 10-Mar-2008 update for kernel 2.6.24-12-generic.

I can also confirm this and this also occurs with 2.6.24-12-386 as well.

There were no updates to the driver.. do you have the corresponding l-r-m installed?

I had experienced this problem in the latest kernel update.
Reinstallation of linux-restricted-modules has fixed this issue for me.

instead of reinstallation linux-restricted-modules, just running "sudo depmod" solved the problem for me.
