Bug Description

I wanted to check what terminator version I was running, and to my surprise there wasn't a --version / -v option, so I had to look at the debian package.

Thanks!

agreed, we definitely should have this.
Currently Terminator doesn't know what version it is, so we're going to have to substitute it into the source somehow when we run setup.py

Perhaps you can define it inside terminator itself instead of at setup.py, and
import it in setup.py? That's what I did when I wrote emesene's setup.py file,
and it seems to work :)

Nice idea, thanks! I'm currently fighting Launchpad to let me commit. When it does, this will be Fix Committed :)
