Bug Description

Ubuntu 22.10
nvidia-driver-525

With the recent nvidia drivers (two or three releases), if I switch ON the external monitor (HDMI) and OFF the laptop one, the UI (Gnome) responds very late to input, causing a seconds delay between click and actions. If I turn on the laptop monitor, it responds as expected.

I've tried open source drivers but the notebook doesn't reach the login screen.

Thanks,
Roberto

Hi, I hope you are right and it's a duplicate but my issue is different: mouse cursor is moving fast but it's all the GUI lagging, and on the external monitor only when the primary one is switched off.
Many thanks,
Roberto

Since they're actively working on it, we'll wait for that fix and then assess which duplicate bugs are still unresolved afterwards.

One person has said that downgrading from NVIDIA 525 to 515 fixed it for them. Maybe try that?

Hi, I confirm that downgrading to 515 solves the problem.
