Bug Description

Since linux-image-2.6.24-12-generic was pushed today, I no longer have sound. Upon closer inspection, I figured out why: it appears that the kernel no longer ships with any ALSA module! The separate -ubuntu-module package appears to contain them instead, but attempting to load them reports "Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)".
