Bug Description

Japanese characters are what I've been having trouble with.
This renders the tool useless for alot of my music collection. I have to do it manually by editing the Meta Info in Dolphin or something.

I cannot reproduce this. Please check the following:
- You cannot store Unicode characters in tag 1 (ID3v1.1), only in tag 2 (ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, Vorbis, APE, MP4)
- ID3v2.3.0 only supports UTF16 and ISO-8859-1, and the implementation in id3lib has some bugs, so you can use ID3v2.4.0 tags (Settings/Configure Kid3.../ID3v2/Version used for new tags), which also supports UTF8

That was it, thanks.
some of my MP3s needed to be tagged with 2.4 apparently, and 1.X doesn't do it anyway. I think that the last version hid the fact that 1.X wasn't saving the unicode characters until you opened them again, or my memory is stupid.

Thanks for trying to fix that which wasn't broken ;)
