Bug Description

Fn+Esc should switch between sound/no sound modes
Fn+F1 should lock screen
Fn+F2 should switch between power saving modes
Fn+F3 should suspend computer
Fn+F4 should hibernate computer
Fn+F5 should swith between screens (if multiple is present)
Fn+F6 and Fn+F7 works fine (increases and decreases screen brigtness, key codes are 0x65 for Fn+F6 and 0xD4 for Fn+F7)
Fn+F8 should turn on/off wireless
Fn+F9 should turn on/off touchpad
Fn+F11 is NumLk (works)
Fn+F12 is ScrLk (works)

I cannot get key codes for all not working Fn keys (tried all 4 suggested ways from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/HotkeyResearch) - it seems that they are not initialised or it looks like i'm not pressing them.

I use Ubuntu Hardy Heron Alpha 5

I confirmed the problem with Ubuntu 8.04 in a Toshiba Satellite P105-S6024.

dmidecode -s system-manufacturer

dmidecode -s system-product-name
Satellite P105

dmidecode -s system-version
PSPA0U-02S01M

No message in the third and fourth methods suggested in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/HotkeyResearch .

An important consequence of this disfunction is that I could not use the touchpad.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 or 9.04?
