Bug Description

Hi Support,

We have a Ubuntu 18.04 server running on cloud. Now, We are trying to upgrade the server to Ubuntu release 20.04 using
# sudo apt-get update
# sudo apt-get upgrade -y
# sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y
# sudo apt-get autoremove
# sudo reboot

and

# sudo do-release-upgrade.

While running the mentioned commands, popping up an error saying "CONNECTION TO THE SNAP STORE FAILED".

NOTE: JFI, Tried as root user too.
                      Ports 443 and 80 opened

So please help us resolve this error and upgrade the server ASAP.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Bug reporting is mostly about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future users from hitting the same bug.

I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg. https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community-support/709

I've marked this report INVALID as few details are provided (apport tools were not used; no attachments etc), plus it appears the reporter is after support, it will thus be converted into a question (which is for support).

Not a bug.

Root cause is wrong network settings, see https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/704417
