Bug Description

No error I can find in the logs, no pattern I can discern.

I'm pretty sure I used a realtek provided driver on this machine before the focal upgrade and that was working consistently. Trying r8169-6.031.00 now to see if that fixes things.

I downloaded the r8169 driver from the Realtek website (r8169-6.031.00) and the problem still persists. I'd appreciate any advice on debugging this. It is a regression as the issue did not happen on Ubuntu Bionic on this same machine.
