Unable to paste to X11 app

Bug Description

If I copy text from gnome-text-editor 43.1 (from ubuntu 22.10) to the clipboard, the mime type is only set to "text/plain;charset=utf-8". This mime type does not allow to "paste" the content to X11 apps (e.g., Putty).

For most of the wayland apps (e.g., gnome terminal), the mime type is more broad:

text/plain
text/plain;charset=utf-8
STRING
TEXT
COMPOUND_TEXT
UTF8_STRING

How to reproduce:
1. Login to ubuntu using wayland
2. Open "gnonme-text-editor" and copy some text
3. Use "wl-paste --list-types" to show the mime type

Thanks, maybe you could also report it upstream on https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-text-editor/-/issues ?
