BulletProofX - restoring to my default resolution still doesn't get X back

Bug Description
When I edited xorg.conf yesterday, I rebooted and X wouldn't start. BulletProofX kicked in and presented me with a (barely readable) displayconfig-gtk. I chose my monitor resolution and rebooted, but X was still garbled. I ended up having to do a dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg to get X back.
