Bug Description

Binary package hint: python-fuse

Looks like this was partially dealt with in the past, but aren't Python modules supposed to be usable by *all* support Python versions?

debdiff attached.

Can you forward the patch to Debian and also transform the patch into a debdiff? Other than that it looks very good.

I'm not sure how to make a debdiff; I actually used debdiff to generate this diff. What do I need to do to make a "real" debdiff?

Oh, I meant a changelog entry, using dch -i. :-)

Okay, sorry to keep asking questions, but should I create a bug in Debian's BTS, or should I just send the debdiff straight to the maintainer?

Can you add a changelog entry to the debdiff (using dch -i)? Also the following change seems to not install the examples anymore:

-install/python-fuse::
+install::

My new debdiff did contain a changelog entry, but I only uploaded it to the Debian BTS, not here.

Attached is yet another debdiff. I've also uploaded it to Debian BTS. It corrects the missing examples issue.

Please check the attached debdiff closely.

I had to make a few changes.:
 - debian/control: updated Maintainer field (http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebianMaintainerField)
 - debian/changelog: python-fuse (1:0.2-pre3-4ubuntu1) hardy; urgency=low (upload to hardy, not unstable; fix the version number)
 - debian/changelog: use (LP: #199618) instead

Thanks for your work. Uplaoded.

---------------
python-fuse (1:0.2-pre3-4ubuntu1) hardy; urgency=low

  * Use cdbs python-distutils class.
  * Build packages for multiple Python versions (LP: #199618).

Hmm, sorry. I thought we were forwarding the change to Debian to have them make
it there, rather than changing our packages directly. That's why I used the
Debian distribution (unstable) and version number (-pre3-4).
