Bug Description

I am using Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
Nautilus 1:42.2-0ubuntu1

What I did: I click on a file, in this case an html file on my desktop and hold the left mouse button down. I drag the file on top of one of the docked apps Firefox for example. What I expected to happen: In any other non-Linux operating system I would expect that file to be opened by the application the file was dropped onto. What happened: In Ubuntu with Nautilus the file doesn't open with the docked application I dropped the file onto. What happened instead: Nothing

drag and drop from desktop to docked app This is a basic function that is available in every other non-Linux operating system I have used. I believe it is reasonable to expect Linux to also have this feature. I think any user would like to have this be an option. This bug should be fixed to make Linux attractive to more users.

Ah ok, in case the launchpad UI doesn't make it obvious you can edit a description of a report without having to submit it again. I mark the other as duplicate of this one

it's a bit similar to bug #1727321

Very similar but not the same. Although fixing one may also fix the other.

No the UI of launchpad doesn't make it clear that a description can be
changed without having to submit it again. Sorry to have created a
duplicate.

This does seem to be an exact duplicate of bug 1727321, although that one is a little terse.

Fine, it's a duplicate. All I care about is that this bug gets fixed not
how many duplicates of the same bug there are. Obviously if there are
many duplicates it's important enough to people to want it fixed!
