Bug Description
The convention for git is now to use 'main' for the default branch instead of 'master' and most projects have done this migration. It would be useful if snapd made this change as well for consistency. A number of projects also leave master as an alias to help with migration.

I haven't changed the snapd-glib branch yet because I was waiting for snapd to make the same change - I'll make that change at the same time.
