scim interface appeared by default

Binary package hint: scim-bridge-client-gtk

I'm following the latest Hardy repositories and an SCIM tool appeared yesterday. There is a keyboard icon in my notification area and I keep activating it by accident whilst typing (shift + space) which changes my alphabet to another language.

I've never seen this SCIM thing before and it's a bit of a pest. Should it be appearing by default?
