Bug Description

Hardware is an rpi 4 8Gb

I installed the latest ubuntu desktop image onto an sd card. I used this image:

http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/daily-preinstalled/20221018.1/kinetic-preinstalled-desktop-arm64+raspi.img.xz

I verified that the sha256sum matches. After unxz'ing it, I made a bootable sd card with:

dd if=kinetic-preinstalled-desktop-arm64+raspi.img of=/dev/sda

When I boot, I see the BIOS boot screen, then the color palette screen, then just blackness. I've tried with two different known working monitors and two different known working cables.

I also tried installing Raspbery Pi OS the same way to the same 32Gb sd card and it booted just fine.

Given the discussion in #ubuntu-release about this today it sounds like this was an issue with the memory card used however its still odd this worked with RaspiOS and not Ubuntu.
