Bug Description

lubuntu kinetic QA-test install

- this error was unexpected; I've performed it a few times on this box (12th October using 20221011 daily) and expected it to be perfect

- errors I saw (4.15 kernel? 5.11 kernel?) make no sense to me; install was 22.04 (or 20.04?) as I recall; so possibly I selected wrong partition(s) & thus my mistake??

I'll review this shortly; but I expect (hope?) to change status to invalid (ie. user mistake in selecting partition(s) on box caused this error; ie. installing over the wrong system for this test)

filing to record some detail before I reboot & explore.

THIS FAILURE IS OF NO CONCERN TO ME (currently)
(this box has had install failures before with calamares; somewhat often in fact - but the error messages I saw did NOT resemble any I'd expect; usually it's disk partitioning issues; not unrelated kernels which I see as user-procedure [failure to cleanup] prior to install)

This install type is good.

I used an install made earlier today on a different box (sony vaio), created numerous files (many empty, some with random text), added packages clementine, figlet, fortune, cowsay.. then booted media & re-installed. all was good.

same 2022-10-17.1 daily; different box (inc. uEFI not BIOS) but install is good.

This failure no doubt is related to something I've done on this box; though I've not worked out what
