Bug Description
I noticed that there are a couple EPUB eBooks with an Apostrophe in their title that seem to be causing encoding issues when imported into Calibre.
For example, importing an EPUB with the title "The Shepherd’s Crown" (using the unicode apostrophe ’ rather than ') results in a book entry being created with the title "The Shepherd’s Crown".
I'm running Calibre 6.7 on Linux but others on Windows experience the same bug.
I took that particular book EPUB and removed all the stuff that's copyrighted (text, images, and so on), only keeping the metadata to showcase the issue.
Importing that book file into Calibre 6.7 (or opening the EPUB with the Calibre viewer) displays it with the broken apostrophe. Opening the EPUB in other, non-Calibre reader software or manually copying it to a physical eBook reader displays the book title correctly.
Is this an issue in how this book is created (but then why do other readers display it correctly? EPUB validators don't complain about the title being wrong / invalid) or is this a bug in Calibre?
Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
