Do you by any chance have a debug_peer_list statement in your main.cf?
If so, this might be related to #311804.

Hi,

Just after reporting the bug few months ago, I purged & reinstalled postfix
which helped for a while.
However, the problem returned few days ago, but this time I managed to find
its reason, namely:
broken /etc/mailname file (because of bug#334576).

So, to reproduce the bug:
1. make sure that myorigin is set to /etc/mailname
2. make sure postfix uses some sender canonical map
3. do one simple command
 echo > /etc/mailname
4. try to send any mail via your postfix server.

Best Regards,
robert

This is actually Debian bug #387641, fixed in 2.3.3-4 (unsure when shared empty strings were added to mystrdup(), but that was the source of 387641.)
