3. WHAT I EXPECTED TO HAPPEN
When dragging a window, the window follows the mouse cursor smoothly.
4. WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS
Dragging windows is extremely slow and choppy. You grab a window and start to drag it. For a very brief moment, around .5s, the window moves smoothly. Then it stops being re-drawn for around 3s. Then there's another brief .5s of smoothness, and the cycle repeats.
This occurs with all windows.
5. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- I was previously on Ubuntu 18.04 and have just upgraded to 22.04.
- I am using the nVidia proprietary driver:
NVIDIA-SMI 470.141.03
Driver Version: 470.141.03 CUDA Version: 11.4
- I have three monitors. Two standard 60Hz monitors, and one Gigabyte G27Q Freesync compatible 144Hz monitor (I have tried all refresh settings for the monitor, and it makes no difference).
- I am running X and do not have the option on login to switch to Wayland (no cog shown).
