Bug Description

Binary package hint: picocom

By default, picocom uses the send command 'ascii_xfr -s -v -l10'. Leaving aside whether ascii xfr is the best choice of command (it's provided by the minicom package which picocom does not recommend), the program name is actually 'ascii-xfr' rather than 'ascii_xfr'.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 or 9.04?

Yes, in 8.10 at least.

This is dead easy to check:

1. picocom still does not recommend minicom
2. running 'picocom /dev/null' will indicate that the send_cmd is 'ascii_xfr -s -v -l10'

It is also worth mentioning that the picocom man page claims that the default send command should be "sz -vv"
