Please drop 91-arctica-greeter-mate.conf

Bug Description

The /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/91-arctica-greeter-mate.conf file contains the following:

"""
[SeatDefaults]

# don't show a username / password login prompt for local login
greeter-show-manual-login=false
"""

This overrides the upstream defaults in order to hide the manual greeter login.
Unfortunately, due to a bug in accountsservice, that way only the 50 first created users are able to login, the rest are completely unable to login to Ubuntu MATE.

Please drop this file so that the upstream defaults can apply.
