syslog filling up

This bug report is a duplicate of: Bug #1908429: gnome-shell fills syslog: Attempting to run a JS callback during garbage collection. This is most likely caused by destroying a Clutter actor or GTK widget with ::destroy signal connected, or using the destroy(), dispose(), or remove() vfuncs. Because it would crash the application, it has been blocked. The offending callback was SourceFunc().. Edit Remove

Bug Description

rlsyslogd is a runaway process hogging one of my CPUs.

The following is repeatedly logged in my syslog:

Aug 22 20:41:00 alonzo gnome-shell[369997]: The offending callback was SourceFunc().

The CPU fan is really cranking.

I killed rsyslogd and that didn't seem to resolve it; I then restarted lightdm.
