Bug Description

In Firefox 91.12.0esr (current Debian stable) with NoScript, attempting to open links to Launchpad help pages that are redirects, either by clicking on them or by copying them into the browser's address bar, gives a browser error page saying

    The page isn’t redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

Examples of such links include:
- The PPA Terms of Use link (https://help.launchpad.net/PPATermsofUse) from the PPA activation page
- https://help.launchpad.net/PPA from the headings of the PPA help pages

Workaround: clicking the "Try again" button on that browser error page does work.

Thanks for your report!

I am afraid, there is not much we can do short-term.

The help system currently uses a wiki software and its redirection mechanism, which obviously is not compatible with your noscript setup.

In the long term we plan to replace the wiki system with a statically rendered site.

Changed in launchpad:
status: New → Triaged
importance: Undecided → Low
