Bug Description

Hi Yannick,

I hope you're well. This is the same "bug" I reported a couple of years ago when the PPA didn't support focal. I've upgraded to Mint 21 and when I try to add the PPA it now says "Cannot add PPA: ''This PPA does not support jammy''." Do you have any plans to make Bellepoule compatible with the Jammy Ubuntu release?

Many thanks again for the app. We've been using it for our club championships for years now and are very happy with it!

Best wishes
Hefin

Hi Hefin,

I've just triggered the generation of a "jammy" version. Just let me know if it works as it should (On my side, I'm still stucked on the "focal" flavor of Ubuntu).

sudo apt update
sudo apt install bellepoule

Hi Yannick,

Thank you for such a quick response on this.I added the PPA successfully, but when I run
`sudo apt install bellepoule`

I get the following:
`Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
bellepoule : Depends: libssl1.1 but it is not installable or
libssl1.0.0 but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.`

I have libssl3 installed on my system.

Thanks again for your help and for creating such a great application.

I should add that neither libssl1.1 nor libssl1.0.0 are available through apt for my system.

Hi,

Regarding libssl, it should work now. Try again!

You are a magician, yes it works now. Just an FYI, when I tried to add the PPA again I got:

Warning: apt-key is deprecated. Manage keyring files in trusted.gpg.d instead (see apt-key(8)).
Executing: /tmp/apt-key-gpghome.8vAgaO7yJX/gpg.1.sh --keyserver hkps://keyserver.ubuntu.com:443 --recv-keys 749CF4BDEC7B7CA1D1619EA092918F749165D72C

Which I fixed by running:

$ gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv 9165D72C
$ gpg --export --armor 9165D72C | sudo apt-key add && sudo apt update

and then I could add the PPA and install Bellepoule with no issue. Not sure if this was something specific to my machine or what I had done.

Thanks for all your help! Until the next mint release ;)

Hi Hefin,

The gpg issue you faced was caused by a mistake I made a couple of weeks ago when I accidentally lost my GPG keys.
They are unfortunately definitively lost and can't be restored. For this reason I had to create a new PPA.

You can drop ppa:betonniere/bellepoule and replace it by ppa:bettonescrime/bellepoule

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bettonescrime/bellepoule
