update-manager failed during update

update-manager showed updates available. During update process, update manager appeared to be downloading update list and then a message box appeared with the following message:

Could not calculate the upgrade

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:
'E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.'

This is the first time I have had a problem with updates with 7.10

Contents of /etc/apt/sources.list should also include:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/luks/ubuntu gutsy main
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-members-kde4/ubuntu gutsy main

/etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list contains:

deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ gutsy free non-free

This happend on a regular 7.10 install, you didn't try to upgrade to 8.04, right? If so, please attach the file /var/log/dist-upgrade/apt.log to this report.
