Redirect from AngularJS Login to Angular Staff Portal Page Causes Delays

When you login from the angularJS login screen (https://demo.evergreencatalog.com/eg/staff/) the screen shows the staff portal page briefly (https://demo.evergreencatalog.com/eg2/en-US/staff/) then goes white (length of the white screen depends on your connectivity/system) and then re-directs to the splash page with a different URL (https://demo.evergreencatalog.com/eg2/en-US/staff/splash).

Ideally the login page should go directly to the staff portal page without the the white page.

In 3.10 the original/non-custom portal page flashes very briefly before settling on the custom portal, although I do not see the white screen.

In my experience, this behavior always occurs on login, and does not change if the last page used before logout/closing the browser is AngularJS or Angular.
