Bug Description

This is very similar to the bug reported in https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/1745835.

Setup a HP Laserjet MFP M234sdwe on Pop!_OS 22.04. Did a manual install of hplip 3.22.6 following the instructions on hp website. Was doing a simple scan (tried with both Kylin scanner and Document Scanner apps) while doing "sudo tail -f /var/log/syslog" per the troubleshooting instructions over at https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/KnowledgeBase/Troubleshooting/TroubleshootScanning?language=de

In the tailed log console, I saw the following:

Jul 19 22:28:25 pop-os kylin-scanner.desktop[21894]: resolution: "300"
Jul 19 22:28:25 pop-os kylin-scanner.desktop[21894]: QComboBox::setModel: cannot set a 0 model

Because I'm on Pop!_OS, it seems like hp-doctor and hp-check do not work. For example, running hp-check gives:

/usr/bin/hp-check:685: SyntaxWarning: "is not" with a literal. Did you mean "!="?
  if 'getfacl' not in g and '' is not g and 'file' not in g:
warning: CUPSEXT could not be loaded. Please check HPLIP installation.
