Hi,

What version of the firefox package do you have installed?

  dpkg -l firefox

from the command line, or use synaptic to find the package
and get its version number.

Can you also tell me what you have in the gconf key

  /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http/command

gconf-editor will let you examine it.

I think this may be an error where NULL is converted
to "" and then not handled by g_shell_parse_argv.

Thanks,

James

I can confirm this bug using Firefox 3 beta 5.

In my gconf editor the key is:
/usr/lib/firefox/firefox "%s"

I was able to fix this by changing the key specified by James to simply: firefox

the issue was due to an incorrect user configuration and not a bug
