Bug Description
When exporting to a bitmap one uses functionality in "File->Export Bitmap". This saves the directory-of-export as metadata in the SVG file. If one moves the SVG file to another machine (or emails it to a colleague) and they then choose to Export Bitmatp, an error is presented. This error states that the previous location does not exist (it's unlikely to exist on another machine). I've only tried this on Linux where my colleague got an error stating "/home/
I suspect that I were a Windows user and my colleague a Linux user the error would read "C:\ProjectFoo" does not exist. Which would be even more confusing.
Suggested fix: Simply don't prompt with an error if the directory-of-export does not extist. Instead default to the users home directory.
What version of inkscape are your using? I think this behaviour is tipical of 0.45 and could have been fixed in 0.46 svn. Please check & report with a recent build.
