it would be nice to have apt sources set up for the upcoming release by default

the attached files might do the work

I'd rather make the lp:packagename fetcher that grabs source packages directly from Launchpad the default in the next release of prevu, to avoid the need to download constantly changing 5MB Sources.gz files.

In either case, it is past feature freeze for this release cycle and I will address it in Hardy+1 and as a backport.
