Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

update-manager failed to upgrade from gutsy to hardy (update-manager version 0.87.10 at the time) with the following error:

I was able to get the latest version of update-manager installed by removing update-manager via dpkg -r and letting apt-get reinstall it.
