Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

The new world clock applet which comes by default in Hardy displays two different temperatures when "show weather" option is used. The temperature shown on the panel is always different than the temperature shown in the tulip in the extended view (please see attached photo). Judging from weather.com for the same location, the temperature shown on the panel is more up-to-date. My location is Kennedy Airport, America/New York .

Sorry for the poor photo quality. Screen capture won't show the tulip.

Thanks for your reply, but I don't understand how any thing in the link you gave me can help with this. All it does is give instructions for running the applet in GDB. It's my understanding that GDB is used to find out what is happening inside a program when a crash occurs. This bug doesn't have to do with a crash at all. None the less, I tried to run it in GDB after installthing the *-dbg packages for gnome-panel and gnome-applets. There doesn't seem to be any thing useful there. I'll let it run for awhile and see if there is more output.

I'll leave this as a dup if you think it is, but just to be clear: I am not using the weather applet at all. The two different temperatures are both provided by the world clock applet. The icon on the panel was put there by selecting show weather in the preferences of the world clock applet.
