Notepad .desktop file does not include "Wine" category

Bug Description

The .desktop file for Notepad only includes

Categories=Wine-Programs-Accessories;

Thus, as opposed to e.g. "Configure Wine", Notepad gets listed in the ugly "Others" menu in Xubuntu. Better would be

Categories=Wine-Programs-Accessories;Wine;

which properly lists it in the "Wine" menu.

This bug is present in Gutsy and Hardy Alpha 5.

It's supposed to go in Wine->Programs->Accessories->Notepad, not just Wine->Programs

The reason for this was to answer people's question "How do I run Wine?" by making it clear that you instead run Windows applications and have them installed to your applications menu alongside Notepad.

I'm not sure why it's not appearing in the Programs->Accessories directory now though. It may be because the .desktop files Wine itself is creating confuse it, or because I just forgot to create the Applications->Wine->Programs->Accessories subfolder.

Perhaps the reason is that I'm on Xubuntu? If so, would adding the "Wine" category create a duplicate in Ubuntu?

Is this still an issue in Hardy? With Fresh Wine installs?

it seems to me that libxfce4menu is missing MergeFile, which is required for user-specific menus.

I wanted to start on a menu-editor, but I came across this problem when I tried to create my own menu-override.

Is this correct, or is there another way to merge with the system-menu?

This isn't really a bug, it's just not implemented yet. I'm fine with leaving it open as a reminder for me.

Menu merging doesn't seem to be supported by libxfce4menu at the moment.

Reaffecting to garcon, as libxfce4menu is being replaced by garcon in natty.

Garcon in natty supports menu merging, so this should be fully fixed as soon as the new xfdesktop4 and xfce4-panel are uploaded.
